In a recent interview Lady Gaga spoke about her recent weight gain and said it amuses her that in a week filled with a political election, Hurricane Sandy, and other events her weight is a big deal, she also pointed out that Adele has gained some weight after the birth of her baby but no one seems to care about that saying..,

"I thought, Well, I don't really care if they think I'm fat,' because, quite honestly, I did gain about 30 pounds," the Born This Way artist continued.

"Adele is bigger than me, how come nobody says anything about it? She's so wonderful and I think her confidence is something I have to match. She has set the bar very high for a lot of women. I need to be a confident woman and just say politically active things when I can that are helpful to young people."

So it doesn't seem like a diss to me, but saying that Adele is confident in her own skin and thats where Gaga wants to be. You be the judge though.
