Rihanna has signed up for a British TV show to find a talented new fashion designer. British recording artist Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud will host the as-yet-unnamed program, which aims to discover a style superstar who can create an outfit for Rihanna to wear at the Wireless Festival in London in July.
As well as acting as the aspiring designers' muse, Rihanna will also executive produce the series. RiRi says, "I've always had a great love of fashion. It's a constant source of inspiration and is a big reason why I've grown into the artist I am today. "I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts."
Roberts adds, "I am so excited to be working with Rihanna on finding a new up-and-coming designer. I was so flattered when she asked me to work with her on this show. I'm so excited for us to get started."
The show will be Rihanna's first TV project, while Roberts follows in the footsteps of her Girls Aloud bandmates Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding, who have all enjoyed sideline jobs as presenters and talent show judges.
The series premieres in the U.K. this summer - no word on whether it will be picked up on this side of the pond.
