My son Ryan & I hitting some balls @ the batting cages in Lititz.
If you look @ his shirt, yes there is alot of tension in the house

Hump Day Already!!
Wednesday 07-23-2008 11:33am ET
Good news, we're already half-way to the weekend, yay! So last night my girlfriend & i went to Roots Farm Market to look around. I have to laugh, I'm amazed at the things people will try to sell there. I walked in one area that had a bunch of old board games stacked 3 or 4 shelves high! Plus, an entire section devoted to records. I didn't even know people still had record players. Needless to say it was fun just walking around looking at all the stuff folks were selling. I'll tell ya though, you can definately get a great deal on Egyptian cotton sheets & fruit. I know, kind of a weird combination. Just letting you know what i saw...lol. I did eat a pretty bangin' hamburger & fries at one of the stands.

Okay, onto the good stuff! Here's what everyone's talking about in the world of celebs & Hollywood!

Jesse McCartney was at Canada's Wonderland Monday, (I'm not sure, but i think it's an amusement park of somesorts)...but instead of trying to make Canadian friends…he decided to show them how much of a diva he can be. (Big surpise for someone famous right). A source says they were about to ride the new big roller-coaster called Behemoth, when Jesse walked through the staff exit door and plopped himself into a seat on the ride. Mind you, people were standing in line for over an hour & he just jumps on the ride with no wait. He then laughed when someone stepped in & asked him to wait his turn. And to make matters worse, he stayed on to ride a 2nd time.

A study of 30,000 people revealed that how you shop, is strongly linked to your astrological sign. See if yours is close, here's the list:

  • Aries - You're an impulse buyer. You complain a lot and hate to wait in line.
  • Taurus - You won't be rushed into making decisions. You are very patient in lines.
  • Gemini - You are attracted to gimmicks and gadgets.
  • Cancer - You enjoy buying gifts for other people, and furnishing for your home.
  • Leo - You tend to buy high fashion and brand names.
  • Virgo - You buy lots of health food and related products.
  • Libra -Y ou switch brands at the drop of a hat, but stick to high quality goods.
  • Scorpio - You are loyal to trusted products and dislike flashy new items.
  • Sagittarius - You fall for sales gimmicks and love to buy on impulse.
  • Capricorn - You vary between upmarket brand names and do-it yourself projects.
  • Aquarius - You buy offbeat buy modern things. You adore browsing in junk stores.
  • Pisces - You are a salesman's dream come true because you never complain.

The fifth annual Fashion Rocks comes to Radio City Music Hall in the big apple on Sept. 5 and will air on CBS Sept. 9. The event coincides with New York's Fashion Week & is bringing out a bunch of today’s biggest music stars. Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Fergie, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Duffy, Keith Urban, & Kid Rock are just a few of the big names. I'm definately gonna be watchin' this!

Christian Bale might have a blockbuster movie...but he was arrested yesterday over allegations he assaulted his mother and sister! Yep, Batman is a bad guy after all. The assault happened at the Dorchester Hotel in London Sunday night, a day before the European premiere of "The Dark Knight." The women made the allegation at a local police station in southern England on Monday. Police did not refer to Christian by name but said: "A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment and was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault." British police do not name suspects before they are formally charged. His attorneys released a statement yesterday stating, "Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

That's all for today. Have a great day! Thanks for listening & stoppin' by.

Not a happy camper!!
Tuesday 07-22-2008 1:11pm ET
So, i think my theme song for today will be "Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba. It's got the line "I get knocked down, but i get up again..." Story of the last two weeks. So i get back from working out last night, back my SUV in the driveway...push the button for my automatic windows so i can put the driver's side up & i here this snap sound when the window gets to the top. Next thing i know the window is sliding back down like it fell off the track. The motor still works which is the good news. So, i got on the phone & called my car guy so i could get in under some type of garage for the night just incase it would rain. The frustrating part is i literally just paid off $300 in charges from this Oregon trip off my credit card...& now this happens! I swear, it never ends!! The only good thing out of this is I'm driving a convertible as my loaner vehicle...yay!

In the world of Hollywood, here's what everyone's talking about:

The latest A-Rod/Madonna rumor is a good one! A British newspaper is reporting that an unnamed man is claiming that he secretly taped Madonna and A-Rod sexin' it up. And to no surprise, he's trying to sell the tape for a cool $2 million! This guy claims the tape was shot using a hidden camera in an apartment owned by one of Madonna’s Kabbalah friends that was allegedly used by A Rod & Madonna for their secret get-togethers. Funny thing is, a legal expert said if what this guy is claiming is true, he could face prosecution for voyeurism and burglary for invasion of privacy.

Miley Cyrus has launched a new charity in honor of her late grandfather - and is auctioning off a chance to meet her to kickstart the fundraising. Her charity aims to help deprived children across the country by providing improved health care, education and community support. Miley is now giving fans the chance to accompany her to the premiere of her forthcoming film Bolt. She is also auctioning off several clothing items from her personal wardrobe. The auction will begin on eBay on Tonight with bidding closing on July 29.

Kim Cattrall from Sex & The City says she isn't really worried about getting older and has made a promise she'll never have plastic surgery. Kim says she had a great time in her youth and still feels youthful. But has no desire to look as though she’s in her 20s. She has a great quote here too, she says "I don't think I'd try plastic surgery. I'd be too frightened I'd end up not looking like myself. I don't want to look in the mirror and see The Joker from Batman staring back at me!" lol.

That's it for today! More Jonas Brothers tickets!! Have a great day!

Happy Monday!!
Monday 07-21-2008 4:20pm ET
Wheeeeeew, another fast weekend goes by. Now the reality...work. Hopefully you got a chance to get out & enjoy the beautiful weather over the weekend even though it was definately a scorcher. I went to New York on Saturday with a couple of friends here at the station. We took in some baseball @ historic Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. Yankees vs. A's. You should have seen how high up our seats were, holy cow. We definately got the arial view...haha. It was alot of fun though. Long game too, went into extra innings. 12 infact, but Yankees won so i was happy. Also got a chance to see the new stadium across the street which will open next season. Of course i took plenty of pics of the current stadium since it's getting torn down :( It's exciting moving into a new stadium, but i am gonna miss the old, falling apart stadium. It's got character & alot of history! Pics coming as soon as i get 'em off the camera. :)

Sunday i had my son for the day so we ventured out into the heat to play some baseball on the ballfield down the street from my house. We played for about 30 minutes & it looked like we jumped into a pool. Very sweaty. Then we came back to the house & cooled off going down to the basement for an intense game of MLB baseball on the PS2. He ended up winning, (as always) but it took us 12 innings. (Not much different than the real game i witnessed on Saturday). Then finished out our day together by taking in some baseball at Clipper magazine stadium. Another game that went into extra innings. I was like, "here we go again." lol. Not to mention it started to downpour in the 5th inning. Because it had been so hot it actually felt really good when the raindrops hit you, so we sat in the rain & continued to watch the game. I know, call me crazy. lol.

In the world of Hollywood, here's what everyone's talking about:

Justin Timberlake met his sports idol! Justin said when he was young he wanted to be Michael Jordan…& he finally got to meet him. It was weird though, he said he heard the Gary Wright song "Dreamweaver" in his head when Michael walked in the room & then wet him self a little. I wish i was joking when i just said that...but, I'm not. It actually happened. Talk about embarassing. Apparently JT couldn’t contain his excitement when Michael walked up to him & said he & his kids were big fans of his music.

Celebrities making more $$!! Mariah Carey has been offered a $100 million deal to perform every night for three years at
Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. You know what Nick Cannon's really thinking in the pic above? "Score! I got myself a sugar Mama. Now i won't have to work."

Seeing as how were tossing out Jonas Brothers tickets all week for the show in Hershey this Friday, i feel the need to let you in on a little secret. The Jonas Brothers will be debuting a new song from their new album during the MTV Video Music Awards. This will be the first time the boys will be performing at the VMAs and the first time they'll be performing the song. Wonder which track it's gonna be?

Well, that's it for today. Thanks for listening, stoppin' by my page, & remember...don't work too hard it's only your first day back from the weekend :)

On The Streets This Weekend!
Friday 07-18-2008 10:43am ET
Friday night it's your official weekend kickoff!

Check out where else you can catch up with FM97 over the weekend.    Click Here.

Here's what we're talking about on the show this afternoon:

New mom Jessica Alba stole her baby's name from a friend!! Yeppers, she confessed she was stuck for a name for her one-month-old daughter, until a friend revealed her own plans to use the name "Honor." Jess told Ok! Magazine she & a few of her friends were having a girls' night out when one of her friends said, "If I ever had a girl - but I'm not having any more kids - I will name her Honor." And as they say, the rest is history!

Lauren Conrad has been criticized for skipping out on a charity event!! She’s getting a lot of negative press nowadays after having a "diva fit and walking out" of a charity event she was hosting in New York. She was flown from LA to NY to be the star of Animal Fair magazine's ninth Paws For Style benefit, but left after walking the red carpet & finding the experience "humiliating." Now, the animal fair actually paid her way from LA to NY & say Lauren partied all week in NY and the Hamptons and failed to walk the runway for the big event. The Animal Fair's editor in chief was none too pleased either as 100 percent of the proceeds from Paws For Style were to go to the Humane Society of New York.

That's all for today! Have a great weekend! I'm heading up to New York tomorrow to take in some baseball @ historic Yankee Stadium! I'm very excited seeing as how the All-Star game was just played on that field Tuesday night. Plenty of pix to come next week :)
