A clear winner for today's pick of Badass Chick: Beyonce. Girl held a press conference yesterday for the Superbowl (because, in case you've been living under a rock, she's performing at the half-time show). She walks out on stage looking drop-dead gorgeous in a white dress, calmly asks everyone in the room to stand, and then sings the national anthem live (because, in case you've been living under a rock, she's been getting crapped on for singing to a track at the Inauguration). Beyonce proceeds to slay the national anthem (duh, because she's immensely talented) and as  she finished, she looked at the audience and asked, "any questions?" A reporter asked her to explain the Inauguration controversy, and she basically said that she's a total perfectionist and because of the weather and time constraints, she didn't have time to rehearse with the orchestra or do a proper sound check. She wanted to ensure that the focus remained on the President and that she made him and the USA proud, so she made the decision to sing with the track, and she's proud of her performance. This press conference was Beyonce's way of basically saying, "EAT IT, HATERS!" and I love that. She didn't need to explain herself, but I love how she did!
