Today's Badass Chick is 10-year-old Destiny Vergara, who has been the USA National Karate Champion three times (2009, 2010 and 2011). She has been taking karate lessons since she was 4 years old and earned her black belt just a couple of summers ago! She has been competing for five years and aims to one day be the World Karate Champion, as well as participate in the 2020 Olympics. In addition to her almost 10-classes-per-week karate schedule, she also keeps up with her school work and earns above-average grades. Destiny is off to a great start and I have no doubt we'll see her kicking some ass again pretty soon!
